South Africa's eastern coastline boasts many beautiful, subtropical beaches. The balmy Indian Ocean waters and year-round sunshine, coupled with stunning beaches and excellent fishing and diving, make this an alluring destination.

The ever-popular city of Durban, often called the Miami Beach of South Africa, has a 6 km (four mile) beachfront called the Golden Mile. The North Coast, with its remote, rugged beaches, stretches out in one direct from the city, while the South Coast features beautiful spots like Margate and Port Edward. In the far north is the iSimangaliso / Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, the country's first World Heritage Site and South Africa's own Okavango Delta.
