Many of our rangers and trackers belong to the communities surrounding the wildlife reserve and thus not only do they have a vast wealth of information about the local wildlife and ecology, but are able to impart cultural information and bring traditions alive for our guests.

The Great Wildebeest Migration
Hailed by many as the Greatest Show on Earth, the year-round movement of over two million wildebeest and other grazing herbivores across the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem is one of the greatest spectacles in the natural world. The horizon is literally filled with 1.5 million wildebeest, 200 000 zebra, 18 000 eland and 500 000 Thompson’s gazelle, relentlessly tracked by Africa’s great predators. It is an unbelievable and truly unforgettable sight to behold. Definitely something for the ‘bucket list’!
